Background
David Vuu is an Australian-based design executive with more than two decades of experience shaping enterprise platforms and consumer marketplaces. His career spans startups, scale-ups, and ASX50 companies, navigating the complexities of mergers, acquisitions, and large-scale transformations.
Known as both a doer and a leader, David blends craft with strategy. His expertise includes design transformation and operating models, executive stakeholder alignment at the highest levels, global design system governance, accessibility and inclusive design strategy, and delivering measurable commercial impact through the DVF model (Desirability, Viability, Feasibility). He has guided product design across multiple markets, embedding service and journey orchestration at enterprise scale, while building and leading high-performing global teams.
David’s core focus is aligning design to business strategy and deeply understanding the “why” behind every initiative. This clarity enables him to prioritise effectively, simplify complexity, and turn intricate challenges into clear, actionable solutions. He thrives on seeing projects through from vision to delivery, ensuring outcomes are not only designed but embedded in practice.
Beyond his executive role, David continues to sharpen his craft through side projects that explore new technology, AI, and business models. His entrepreneurial curiosity keeps him close to emerging ideas while grounding him in the realities of execution. Outside of design, he has a passion for fine spirits—drawn to the craftsmanship, history, and culture they represent.
